We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We honour the deep tradition of Aboriginal women coming together in circle to share stories, wisdom, and healing across generations - an enduring practice that inspires our own.
Menopause yoga is a holistic approach to guiding women through the menopause that feels nourishing and nurturing to mind, body, and soul.
It is both a therapeutic style of yoga designed to help women manage menopause symptoms, and a safe space for women to come together in a community that offers a positive empowering approach to this natural life transition.
Menopause yoga combines the latest evidence-based Western science with traditional Eastern wellbeing practices to:
Menopause yoga is based on hatha yoga but is a non-dogmatic practice that incorporates vinyasa flow movement, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, and elements of yin yoga.
Puberty, pregnancy, and perimenopause are all key milestones in a woman’s life, each bringing significant hormonal shifts. These natural transitions shape a woman's physical and emotional landscape, with perimenopause, which typically occurs between ages 40 and 50, marking the years leading up to menopause.
During perimenopause, up to 85% of women experience symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and mood swings. While these changes can be challenging, they are not only inevitable but a powerful part of the natural life cycle that invite us to slow down, reflect, and move forward into the second half of our life with intention and empowerment. With the right care and support, women can embrace perimenopause as a time of transformation that offers enhanced overall wellbeing and resilience.
Menopause yoga is a deeply nurturing practice that offers women a compassionate way to navigate this powerful transition. Through gentle movement, calming breathwork, and restorative techniques, it brings relief from the challenging symptoms, soothes the nervous system, and restores a sense of inner balance. This practice doesn’t just complement medical and natural therapies — it enhances them, offering a holistic approach to wellbeing that honours the body and mind. Beyond physical relief, menopause yoga creates a safe space to connect with others, share stories, and build a supportive community, reminding women they are not alone.
